Are any of you on here from USA following the World Cup football or is it on your snob list? My current mood is trying to cook a meal related to the Country’s match I am watching. Something spicy; pasta; then fish & chips for both England & Scotland; pizza. Couldn’t pin it down for USA v Australia so went with interesting snacks. Drinks - cocktails; red wine; fizzy water. Not all at once.

That sounds fun. We're deeply unsporty in this household. But I do want to watch a game or two. Such a busy time of year with last days of school. x

How can we get tge recipe for Chicken Thighs over Lemony Rice? Thoroughly enjoyed this post and hope you'll weave in some anecdotes from your Vanity Fair days in future!!

Your sun tea sounds fabulous....can you share the length of time you put in the sun, and how many bags you use? Thank you so. much!!

It's delicious. Celestial Seasons Wild Berry Zinger steeps very well, so I probably put in 6 to 8 bags per 2 gallons and left it out for 4 hours.

Two things! Have you tried Sportea? It’s a brand and it’s all I drink year round. Sooo delicious and refreshing. Also, if you enjoy shortcake you have to try the Strawberry Spooncake from the NYtimes. Soooo easy and so good. Will impress all guests and children 🤍

Had to chime in because, after many summers brewing and enjoying sun tea, this gave me the willies: https://www.southernliving.com/is-sun-tea-safe-to-drink-11701254

I absolutely love the way you write and am in awe of the meal planning and prep—imaginative, healthy and, for me, aspirational (i.e. never going to happen, but I can fantasize). I love my Yellow Farmhouse Cookbook, despite the lack of any pictures or illustrations. Wonderful anecdotes about Vermont neighbors, especially wonderful corn recipe—fresh corn unabashedly drenched with heavy cream, butter, salt + pepper. omg omg omg.

Haha. Thank you. I love the Yellow Farmhouse anecdotes as well.
